Craig Eastman is the owner and operator of Eastman Construction, bringing over 15 years of experience in residential remodeling and construction. Since 2009, he has worked across the Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast, gaining valuable expertise in a variety of building techniques and craftsmanship standards. His diverse experience has shaped his approach to high-quality construction, with a focus on meticulousness and attention to detail.

In 2016, Craig launched Eastman Construction in the Shenandoah Valley, committed to delivering well-crafted, thoughtfully designed spaces. In 2018, he and his wife relocated to the Smith Mountain Lake area to raise their family and establish a strong presence in the local community.

Today, Eastman Construction continues to bring innovation and craftsmanship to every project, redefining luxury one home at a time.

PRICING & CONTRACT DETAILS

Once the project scope is clearly defined, we discuss pricing structures and contract options to fit the client’s needs. We offer both fixed-price contracts for those who prefer financial certainty and flexible pricing models that allow for potential savings as the project progresses. Our goal is to ensure transparency, flexibility, and a contract that aligns with the project’s complexity and the client’s level of comfort with risk.

PERMITS & SITE PREP

We handle the entire permitting process, which can take several weeks depending on the scope of work. Once permits are secured, we prepare the site and begin demolition, taking extensive precautions to protect the home. Our team places great emphasis on cleanliness and organization, using zip wall barriers and air scrubbers to control dust and maintain air quality. By prioritizing these details, we minimize disruption and create a safer work environment.

FINISHING SELECTIONS

As construction progresses, clients select finishing touches such as cabinetry, fixtures, and trim. We collaborate with experienced designers and trusted suppliers to help clients navigate their options and choose materials that balance functionality and aesthetics. Since many of these items have lead times, we guide the selection process to ensure everything is ordered and delivered on schedule, keeping the project on track for completion.

TIMELINE & WORKFLOW

Efficient scheduling of materials and subcontractors is critical to maintaining workflow and controlling costs. Unlike contractors who manage multiple jobsites simultaneously, we take a focused, hands-on approach to each project. By being actively present and available on-site, we ensure work progresses efficiently, questions are addressed promptly, and deadlines are met without unnecessary delays.

COMPLETION & WARRANTY

Project completion goes beyond obtaining a certificate of occupancy—it’s our opportunity to ensure every detail meets or exceeds expectations. We conduct thorough walkthroughs with the client, promptly address any final adjustments, and leave the site clean and move-in ready. For new builds and additions, a certificate of completion is signed, activating the warranty for added peace of mind. Our commitment doesn’t end when the project is finished—we remain available to answer any questions and provide ongoing support as the client settles into their newly completed space.
